If you would like a beautiful, straight smile without people noticing you're having treatment Invisalign could be for you.
This popular orthodontic system enables you to transform your smile discreetly. It uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth, so no metal wires or brackets.
The aligners are custom-made specifically for your teeth. You replace them every two weeks and your teeth will move little by little, gradually towards the desired position.
You can remove the aligners for cleaning your teeth and eating, so you can still enjoy all your favourite foods, and clean your teeth as normal.
There are many reasons to choose Invisalign:
- Clear – virtually invisible aligners
- Customised – tailor-made aligners
- Removable – eat, drink, brush and floss as normal
- Comfortable – no metal brackets or wires
- Effective – enjoy the benefits of a better smile
We will take an impression of your teeth to check if they can be straightened with Invisalign. A treatment plan will then be created. This will include a 3D representation of the movements your teeth are projected to go through and how you can expect your teeth to look when your treatment ends.
During your treatment you will be provided with sets of clear aligners to wear for two weeks at a time. Your teeth will gradually move towards their final straight position as you progress through the series of aligners.
It will be necessary to visit the practice for check-ups during your treatment so we can monitor your progress and check that you are happy with how everything is going.
Invisalign treatment typically takes around twelve to eighteen months. This does vary from case to case though as everyone has different straightening issues. We will discuss this with you before your treatment begins so you know what to expect.
Invisalign can be used to treat a range of straightening issues such as overcrowded teeth, widely spaced teeth, cross bites, deep bites and under bites. We will be happy to assess your suitability for treatment when you visit us.
